Here's to the crazy ones. Day 8 Randomloveletter 2016

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The trouble makers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.
Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Here's to the crazy ones quote

It's 02:56am on a school night. I'm packing up orders with the dulcet tones of Jesse & Walt heading towards their demise in the background.
My head is pounding from this intense heat we're having and I have to be up in about three hours for another round of packing up card orders and a 9 hour stretch at the dayjob.

But guess what....

I feel like a pig in shit, I'm happy to be a crazy one, yeah I'm pooped and I am 100% looking forward to finishing up at my dayjob (did I tell you I quit?). I'm happy to be crazy enough to think I can change the world (my own at least). And I'm happy to be a square peg in a round hole.

Today's #randomloveletter (click here to learn more about this challenge) was posted on a bin on the way to work. I hung around as usual for the optimum moment but got spotted by a young lad on his way to school, aghh.

Have a great day you little crazy monkey you!

What's the worst that could happen? Day 7 #randomloveletter challenge

This is a question/statement that motivates me. What is the worst that could happen? Really, not much, well, not much by way of resemblance to what your brain can show you anyway.

I can pretty much guarantee that this question is silently and meticulously asked by ourselves, to ourselves more often that we can count. It's the precursor to a spark in our minds that results in the most mundane to the most extraordinary decisions on a day to day level.

In my pharmacy dayjob, I have to be super accurate and yeah, it's a skill I've had to develop and I have my own process for it. I'm pretty pleased to say I maintain accuracy 99.9% of the time (only human, right? lol)

I use the 'what's the worst that could happen' premise every single day. The worst that could happen in my dayjob is that I pick the wrong drug, the Pharmacist misses it too and we end up killing someone. So I always assume I've picked the wrong drugs and work backwards from there, happily proving myself wrong and thankfully, not killing anyone!

Unfortunately, this mindset does not always apply throughout the rest of my life. Try and prove myself wrong in other scenarios and I give in before I start, or take too long (sometimes years!) to get going.

My stupid wedding for example.

What's the worst that could happen?

  • I don't have any bridesmaids
  • We can't find a date when everyone is in the frikkin country
  • Can't find a stupid bloody dress
  • We spend a disgusting amount of money
  • It's dead hot & I pass out

Some of the worst things are already happening so we've pretty much stopped dead with any preparation.
Thing is though, it's tough cookies, because what's the other option? No wedding!

So now I've got my head around these 'worst case scenarios' which when you really look at it are not the doomsday type things I first imagined, I think we may just have a shot at figuring it out.

The worst that could happen is a win/win

To sum up, when you ask yourself what's the worst that could happen you really can't lose. This question can summon up that inner warrior of creativity and imagination you'll need. You can either dismiss the 'imagined' worst straight off the bat, or be in a situation where you get to figure out something you never thought you'd overcome.

I think now that I've written this little pep talk for you that I should take a bit of it on board myself BUT, I'd love you to ask yourself today........

Message for the dudes. Day 5 & 6 Random Love Letter 2016

I missed the drop for day 5, aghhh. So I placed them both on my way to work this morning.

For some reason the last two days have been geared towards the boys, not sure why I've been so specific but there you go ☺

What are you waiting for? Day 4 RandomLoveLetter Instagram challenge

It's a happy, happy Saturday here at Prints Of Heart Central. I had somewhat of a lie in, about 9ish we surfaced so that was nice.
Today is my twin niece's 18th Birthday so tonight we're all going out for a meal and a few drinks which will be fun, well, I must admit I'm slightly self conscious after a minor hair dye crisis last night but sod it, brown is the new red, for now at least! :(

So yeah, I took a nice little stroll round the block with my handsome beau and found the perfect lamp post for today's #randomloveletter

It's pretty fitting for the day really. I sort of wish I was 18 again, but the only reason would be so I could track down my fiance earlier. That wouldn't really work though as I wouldn't know him then. Hmm. Plus I wish I'd have loved to of had blue hair at some point before I was too old.

Anyway, I hope you have a cracker of a weekend.

Hey missy!

It's easier than you think. Random love letter day 3.

It was a pretty easy drop this morning. I only had cards to post so I didn't need to go to the Post Office which means, woop woop, I can go the quicker way to work.
There is a phonebox next to my post box so I thought this would be an ideal place to attach today's #randomloveletter.

Naturally as soon as I got out my camera and the note, about 50 people and cars seemed to appear out of nowhere so I feigned a bit of 'oh I'll just look at this for a while'. Check out the shadow of my legs! lol
A short few seconds later when everyone had cleared I managed to attach the note to the phonebox and hey presto, here's to day three ☺

It's easier than you think!

Daylight Is Burning ~ Day 2 #randomloveletter

Well here we are at day two.

I'm not gonna lie I feel a bit under the weather today, been feeling a bit dizzy this last weekend and now I'm just all over the place. Bloody starving as well so I'm not sure what's going on. I'm just looking forward to the weekend and hopefully little Geoffy cat will let me have a good lie in.

I've had quite a productive few days in the shop this week so I woke up (not so bright eyed and bushy tailed) and got on with packing then set off.

Today's wander was quite busy, a lot of people around. I passed an embarrassed dog trying to have a poop and we made full on eye contact and there was even some poor guy being lifted into an ambulance so I hope he's ok now.

I got almost all the way to the dayjob, having decided on the lamp post at the back where the fire exit is. I thought this would be a good place as when I was out on my breaks I'd be able to see if it was still there.
I watched all the people walking to work (not in a weird way) and a few looked but it remained in place for most of the day. This lady even stopped to read it as she was walking her dog, how cool is that!
By about 5ish it had gone, I'd love to know who eventually took it, how it made them feel etc.

Have a supreme day. #randomloveletter yo!

Random Love Letter Challenge 2016 ~ Day 1

Totally couldn't sleep last night, not just because of the fact that today is the first of June, which incidentally means a couple of things; it's birthday month in my family so of course I was stressing about whose birthday I would forget, also a little nervous about my first drop this morning and still the ongoing saga of the dayjob & how to plan a wedding.

But hey, I did it!

I actually woke up pretty early, before my alarm in fact, Geoff (the cat) was kindly giving my hair a wash to coax me to life and I got up and ready pretty quickly.
Set off for work and the minute I got outside I realised how different this year's #randomloveletter challenge would be. Last year I was living in a sleepy little village (in the early morning at least) and I pretty much had the run of the place, there were lots of good drop points and some nice scenery. Now however, my daily commute to work (which is a nice leisurely stroll) runs mostly down a main road, a school run and residential streets.
It's half term, so luckily the streets were pretty quiet. I did my post office run and spotted yes, you've guessed it. The trusty bus stop!
Bus stops never let me down. There's a chance my note will be seen at least every half an hour.
So yeah, headed up there, good to go. Note in hand, phone set on camera. Got there and there was a car right opposite with a lady inside, waiting..... Now, she was waiting for me to move and I was waiting for her to move. Turns out, our reasons were pretty similar, embarrassment & not wanting to be spotted.
I sat there for a while, considering just how many cat hairs were attached to my work pants and after what must have only been about a minute (but felt much longer) she gave in, turned off her engine and got out of the car. Full on birds nest hair, pyjamas and that 'just got out of bed to give someone a lift to work, but it's ok as no-one will see me' look.
I felt bad for the girl yeah, we've all done it, right? The whole time I was looking at my phone pretending I hadn't noticed but damn you peripheral vision!
Then quick as a flash, boom. Here we have it, day one is placed.

There's never a right time.

So just start now.

Have a great day!
